Slow down culture

Its not my creation rather a nice article which I wish to share. Here it is: It's been 18 years since I joined Volvo, a Swedish company. Working for them has proven to be an interesting experience. Any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple and brilliant. It's a rule. Globalize processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense  of searching for immediate results. Therefore, we have come to posses a need    to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with the slow movements of       the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate, debate, hold x     quantity of meetings and work with a slowdown scheme. At the end, this    always yields better results.     Said in another words: 1. Sweden is about the size of San Pablo, a state in Brazil.        2. Sweden has 2 million inhabitants.        3. Stockholm has 500,000 people.     4. Volvo, Escania, Ericsson, Electrolux, Nokia are some of its renowned     companies. Volvo supplie

questions.....

Few questions to all: -No one wants to tread the path followed by everyone. Meet anyone and he/she would tell that he/she doesn’t want to be the part of the ever ending and maddening so called RAT RACE. Still people are there, and a humongous number of them who are traversing the same road again and again and again!! Why? -Why does everyone hate one’s job? Is working so bad? Still only those people are revered  who are in a GOOD job. What is a GOOD JOB? A highly paid one even if you hate going to the office daily? Even the mere mention of the office on a holiday is sacrilegious. Vice versa isn’t!!  -I feel each and every human being has some or the other dream, something which he/she wishes, and wishes badly to do and do happily. Atleast one thinks that one would be happy while doing that. Passion, dream, unrelenting desire to do something. That doesn’t need to be something unique. Rather it can be as trivial as listening to music or reading. Then why doesn’t one do that?  -Why does ev

My first ROCK SHOW

Venue: Elysium, Pune Date: 17/08/2008, There was a rock show at Elizium, Pune. I too went there. Not that I like rock, in fact I haven’t even heard most of the songs. Just like that. No specific reasons. A friend of mine had called me up so I thought of going. There was one more reason. I dint want to spend the evenings at my place either chatting to people online or browse through the channels showing advertisements, reality shows or the dangerous, K or K-type serials. I reached there pretty late. It was to start around 7 in the evening. But I had a few things to buy. A belt and a pair of trousers to be specific. I arrived at the venue around 8.30PM. Some band named "AGNEE" was performing. Quite a lot of people had turned up. It seemed people loved rock! The guy was yelling and so were the people present. Added to that was head banging and sign of evil. For people equally illiterate as I am, the meaning of head banging and sign of evil is described which I got to know only y

I did my BE from BIT, Mesra and my schooling ended at Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir, Allahabad. I never missed my school days as others did. But I surely miss my college like anything.. and its only because I had and have the greatest bunch of frnz ever produced in this world. Though this friendship is creating whole lot problem for me... I cant find anyone who is even remotely close to them.. I do not judge or compare people as such but then if u have got such amazing frnz, its alwaz tuf to get another group like them! Here at Pune, though, I do have a few people who are very good and am bonding with them... I am basically an ambivert person... not extrovert nor completly reserved.. with slight bias towards being reserved :P. People might find it tuf to digest but I open up with very few and selected people whom I cal
